Who We Work With
The participants, teams and industries Lumen works with across its network.
On this page
Lumen works with people and organisations that have something concrete to contribute or achieve. The network is intentionally cross-sector, but it is not open-ended: every participant should have a clear role in a potential collaboration.
Participant categories
Founders & project teams
Teams building products, protocols or infrastructure in Web3, AI, FinTech and emerging technology - from early validation to growth.
Investors & venture funds
Funds, family offices, angel investors and strategic investors looking for relevant exposure and well-prepared dealflow.
Companies & strategic partners
Established businesses, protocols and platforms exploring partnerships, new markets or entry into Web3 and AI.
Builders & operators
Product, engineering, growth and operations specialists who want to work with ambitious teams, full-time, fractionally or as advisors.
Ecosystem partners
Accelerators, communities, service providers and platforms that strengthen the conditions for projects to grow.
Long-term collaborators
Individuals and organisations that share our standards and want to contribute to a relevant, independent network over time.
Industries
Web3 is the primary focus. The network also extends into adjacent technology sectors where the same participants, capital and operational patterns are relevant.
| Sector | What we look for |
|---|---|
| Web3 | Infrastructure, protocols, DeFi, digital ownership, developer tooling and applications with a credible path to adoption. |
| AI | Applied AI, agents, data infrastructure and tools that change how businesses operate or how users interact with software. |
| FinTech | Payments, market infrastructure, compliance, treasury and financial products with a clear regulatory and commercial model. |
| Infrastructure | Developer platforms, data layers, security, identity and the systems that support scalable digital markets. |
| Emerging technology | New categories at the intersection of the above, where the market is still forming and the right partnerships matter. |
Lumen is not limited to these sectors. If a team or opportunity sits outside them but is strategically relevant to the network, we are open to a conversation.
Stage and geography
Lumen is not a stage-specific programme. The network includes pre-seed teams, growth-stage companies, established investors and experienced operators. What matters is that the context is clear and the participant is ready to engage.
| Stage | Typical context |
|---|---|
| Pre-seed / seed | Product direction, first partnerships, fundraising readiness and access to experienced operators. |
| Early growth | Market expansion, strategic introductions, venture dealflow and operational support. |
| Established | Partnerships, new market entry, ecosystem positioning and access to emerging technology teams. |
The network is global. Lumen works across regions and does not require participants to be based in a particular market.
What we look for
- Clarity of intent. You can explain what you are building, what you need and why it matters now.
- Relevance to the network. There is a credible link between your context and the participants Lumen works with.
- Readiness to engage. You can share appropriate context, respond professionally and respect the time of others.
- Long-term orientation. You are interested in relationships, not only in a single transaction.
Who may not be the right fit
Lumen is not the right starting point if you are looking for a public listing, a guaranteed introduction, an investment commitment or a substitute for legal, financial or fundraising advice. We also do not work with projects that cannot explain their purpose or that approach the network with misleading information.
