For Investors & Funds

How investors and funds engage with Lumen and access relevant venture opportunities.

Lumen works with investors and funds that have a clear mandate and an interest in building long-term relationships with founders and co-investors. The objective is relevant, well-prepared dealflow - not volume.

Mandate fit

The network is most useful when an investor's mandate is specific enough to assess relevance. Helpful context includes:

  • Stage. Pre-seed, seed, early growth, growth or opportunistic.
  • Sector. Web3, AI, FinTech, infrastructure, emerging technology or a combination.
  • Geography. Global, regional or market-specific.
  • Ticket size and instrument. Equity, token, structured or hybrid.
  • Value beyond capital. The expertise, network or operational support the fund can offer founders.

Lumen does not require a public mandate or a formal commitment. A clear conversation about fit is enough to begin.

How we work with investors

Dealflow

Relevant sourcing

Projects filtered for mandate, stage and readiness, with context before the first meeting.

Market

Ecosystem context

A view of sectors, participants and emerging themes that may be relevant to the fund's thesis.

Relationships

Curated introductions

Introductions to founders, co-investors and strategic partners where there is a clear mutual reason to speak.

What to expect

  • Context before contact. We aim to give you enough information to decide whether a conversation is worth your time.
  • Double opt-in introductions. We confirm interest on both sides before connecting.
  • No unsolicited volume. We do not send bulk deal lists or share your contact details without consent.
  • Honest feedback. If a project is not ready or not relevant, we would rather say so.
  • Independence. We do not represent any single project or fund.

Process

  1. Share your mandate. Tell us the stage, sectors, geography and type of opportunities you are looking for.

  2. Define the relationship. Clarify whether you are looking for dealflow, co-investment relationships, market context or a broader ecosystem role.

  3. Review relevant context. Lumen maps the network against your mandate and identifies credible matches.

  4. Meet relevant teams. With mutual agreement, we prepare introductions and support the next steps.

What we do not do

Lumen does not guarantee dealflow, access to a specific project or investment terms. We do not conduct due diligence on behalf of investors, and we do not provide investment advice or recommendations. Any decision to invest is made independently, based on the investor's own analysis and professional advice.

We also do not share confidential project information without the project's consent. If you need material for a formal diligence process, that process should be agreed directly with the project.

For funds exploring a new sector

A fund entering Web3, AI or another emerging category often needs more than a list of companies. It needs a view of how the market is structured, who the credible participants are and where the real activity sits. Lumen's network can provide that context through targeted conversations and introductions.
