About Lumen

What is Lumen?

Lumen is an independent infrastructure for strategic partnerships, investment opportunities and business cooperation. It connects founders, investors, companies, builders and ecosystem partners through context-first introductions and long-term relationship building. It is not a fund, a marketplace or an open directory.

Is Lumen an investment fund?

No. Lumen is not an investment fund and does not manage capital, make investment decisions or provide investment advice. Lumen Capital is a direction focused on investor introductions, dealflow and fundraising readiness. Any investment decision is made independently by the parties involved.

What sectors does Lumen focus on?

Web3 is the primary focus. The network also covers AI, FinTech, infrastructure and emerging technology where there is a relevant connection to the participants and theses in the ecosystem. Lumen is not strictly limited to these categories.

Is Lumen global?

Yes. Lumen works with participants across regions and does not require a particular headquarters or market presence. Relevance and fit matter more than geography.

Working with Lumen

How do I contact Lumen?

Use the official Connect page on the main Lumen website. The documentation site does not contain forms or accept applications directly. Choose the category that best describes you and provide enough context for the team to assess your request.

Is there a membership or account?

No. Lumen does not operate a public membership platform, account system or directory. Participation is based on relevant context and mutual fit, not on signing up for a service.

Does Lumen charge for introductions?

Access to this documentation is free. Working relationships, if any, are discussed individually and any commercial terms are agreed separately before an engagement begins. Nothing in this documentation constitutes an offer of services or a promise of an introduction.

Does Lumen guarantee funding, partnership or investment?

No. Lumen creates the conditions for relevant conversations; it does not guarantee any outcome. Funding, partnerships, valuations, terms and timing depend on the participants and are never promised by Lumen.

How are introductions made?

Introductions are context-first and double opt-in. Lumen assesses fit, confirms that both sides are open to speaking, shares a short summary of why the conversation is relevant and then connects the parties. Contact details are not shared without consent.

What happens after I get in touch?

The team reviews your context and may ask follow-up questions. If there is a potential fit, you will discuss objectives and next steps. If there is no relevant fit, we aim to be direct about it. The full process is described in Collaboration Process.

Projects, capital and participation

What stage of project does Lumen work with?

Lumen is not stage-specific. The network includes pre-seed, seed, growth-stage and established companies. What matters is that there is a clear context, a credible reason to engage and readiness to have a productive conversation.

Can I submit a project for investment?

Lumen is not a fund and does not accept investment applications. You can share a fundraising context through the Connect page. If the project is relevant to an investor in the network and both sides agree, an introduction may be considered.

Can I join as a builder or operator?

Yes, if you have relevant experience and a clear idea of the type of engagement you are looking for. Read For Builders & Operators and use the Connect page. Lumen is not a recruitment agency and does not guarantee placement.

Can I request a specific introduction?

You can explain who you would like to meet and why. Lumen will assess whether the introduction is relevant and appropriate for both sides. A request does not create an obligation to make the introduction.

How is confidentiality handled?

Context shared with Lumen is treated with care. We do not publish participant information or share contact details without consent. More detail is available in Our Principles and Legal & Privacy.

Documentation

How often is this documentation updated?

The documentation is updated as the network and its directions develop. The “Updated” date at the top of each page indicates the most recent revision. For official announcements, refer to Lumen's main website and X account.

How do I report an error or suggest a change?

Use the official Connect page and select “Other”, or mention the documentation issue in your message. Please include the page URL and a short description of the problem.

Can I reuse the content of this site?

The content is provided for information. The Lumen name, logo and materials are protected by intellectual property rights. You may link to the documentation, but reproduction or commercial use requires permission. See Legal & Privacy.
